Madison Bailey’s go-to highlighter might predate the Outer Banks premiere. Dipping her brush into MAC’s Mineralize Skinfinish, the actress taps the shimmering product onto the tip of her nose, then pulls it up to create a thin line along the ridge. “I’ve had this product for years,” she says while sharing her beauty secrets with Vogue. “It was one of the first MAC products I bought, and I’ve barely made a dent in it, because that’s the only place I highlight—anywhere.”Though Bailey’s highlighter application is strictly on the nose, the Tommy Hilfiger model takes a creative approach to highlighting her features elsewhere.
Toward the middle of her 36-step skincare and makeup routine, the North Carolina native mixes Patrick Ta’s luminous foundation with Pat McGrath’s backstage classic. “My foundation drawer is stocked with so many colors, it’s ridiculous,” the 25-year-old confesses. “I almost always have to mix them to get it just right.” She also uses two types of Makeup by Mario bronzer—the powder and the cream—to layer her look with sunkissed warmth. To top it off, she peps up her complexion with Hourglass’s liquid blush. “I’m a big fan of cream products,” The Grey singer says. “I feel like they blend better and just keep the face looking so alive. Sometimes I need that.”
Today, however, Bailey looks well-rested and lit up in the most skillfully applied way. “I’m the youngest of seven, and four of us are girls,” she says. “I learned how to do makeup from my older sisters—one sister straightening my hair, and then the other one providing my eyeliner. It was giving.”
